'Nearly There' - Return to Appleby Fair is to be issued in a very small exclusive Limited Edition of just 400 models.

This fabulous new creation personally sculpted by Ray Ayres, Border's master modeller, features Gordon Boswell returning to Appleby Fair with his newly restores Reading Caravan. There is just a mile to go and the last hill to climb to the fairground before he can rest his two faithful horses. Young Gordon's piebald horse has been harnessed up at the front of the lead horse to give extra traction up the last steep hill!

You can see Gorden (senior) sitting up at the front of the caravan with his wife Margaret by his side. Gordon's trusty Jack Russell "Spot" is featured siting next to his master.

Gordon recently purchased this Reading Caravan which needed restoration and re-paint. During its restoration he removed a flat panel form over the front door and was amazed to discover Queen Victoria's magnificent Coat Of Arms hidden behind the panel. Research led him to discover athat Queen Victoria did indeed own this Reading Wagon and kept it at her musch loved Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight. He also discovered hat the caravan was owned for many years by the well-loved actor John Mills who kept it in his garden near London.

After a major restoration Gordon wanted to show off his magnificent newly restored Reading Caravan to the world......and what better place to take it than to Appleby Fair.
